The Oriskany Strings performed for residents at the Warm
Hearth Village, Kroontje Health Care Center in Blacksburg,
VA on November 19, 2004 from 2:30 to 4:00 pm. This was the
second time the Strings played at Warm Hearth. The Strings
again played a mixture of gospel, old-time and bluegrass
songs, but this time they added dance (clogging) music.
The residents loved it and danced along. At the mid break
the residents were happy to receive a surprise visit from
Virginia Tech's Hokie Bird. The Hokie Bird loved the Strings
music and joined the band (see last photograph).
