The Oriskany Strings performed at the James River Music
Hall on 134 Railroad Avenue in Eagle Rock, VA on November
13, 2004 from 8:00 to 9:00 pm and again from 9:30 to 10:00
pm. The Strings played a variety of old-time/bluegrass music
including some gospel song from their current "Mostly
Gospel" tribute album. Junior Christian of the Craig
County Boys accompanied the Strings on his guitar. Junior
also sang the popular gospel song, "Long Black Train"
and the old-time favorite "Rocky Top", both accompanied
by Strings. Rita Parady sang her newly written song, "Bluegrass
harmony" and received a very warm applause. Carol,
Jack and Junior also performed a rousing rendition of "Foggy
Mountain Special" with Jack playing the boogie-woogie
run on his washtub bass.
